Inside Sales / Customer Service Position - Now Hiring

INSIDE SALES/CUSTOMER SERVICE

(Four-year College Degree Preferred)

Independent Can Company, a global manufacturing, family-owned company with annual sales of 60 million dollars, is seeking an experienced Inside Sales person to join our Sales Team.  The successful candidate needs to have sales, customer support and service experience.  This person will be responsible for inside sales/account management as well as the development of new customers and new product sales in the United States and Canada.  He/she will also be responsible for backing up outside sales people as needed with data entry, samples, and other office functions.  The skills and experience necessary for success in this position are creativity; experience with sales and customer service; the ability to communicate effectively in writing, on the phone and in person; the ability to set goals; sales acumen and a good mathematics skill level.  The selected individual must have excellent communication and people skills and the adaptability to fit into a manufacturing/distribution environment.

Proficiency in Excel, Word, experience using the Internet, and the ability to learn company-specific software is required.  Being bi-lingual in Spanish or Chinese would be beneficial but is not required.

This position offers excellent pay and benefits including employee profit sharing and an individual 401(k) option.

National Popcorn Day is celebrated at the end of January, although its exact date is a matter of debate. The Popcorn Board is often asked about the origins of this day; unfortunately, we do not know how or when this celebration began. Some other individual or organization (with obvious good taste) began this tradition.

The connection to the Super Bowl seems natural enough. It’s a highly regarded annual sporting competition pitting the top two national football teams against each other. Millions of viewers from around the globe hunker down with bowls of their favorite snack—popcorn—in heated anticipation of who will win the battle.

Responsibilities also include the identification and recommendation to senior management of items to be analyzed for Independent Can Company’s stock and custom programs. The skills and experience necessary for success in this position are creativity, experience with personnel, evaluations, goal setting, sales acumen and a comfortable mathematics skill level. The selected individual must have excellent communication and people skills and the adaptability to fit into a manufacturing environment. Overnight travel may be required depending on customers’ needs.

Compensation package includes, vacation, paid holidays, medical/dental coverage, profit sharing and 401k options.
